GIS Coordinator & Planner

Brad Noble joined Planscape in 2007 as a GIS Coordinator and Planner. With his extensive technical knowledge, he provides mapping support and detailed research and analysis on various planning projects.

Mr. Noble applies statistics and spatial technologies, such as Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Global Positioning Systems and AutoCad, in order to visualize and understand specific planning problems. His most recent work focusses on the evaluation of agricultural lands in near-urban environments using the LEAR (Land Evaluation and Area Review) process. Other recent studies have focussed on creating statistical profiles for the agricultural industry, designing site plans and developing digital zoning maps for various regions in Ontario.

Brad Noble holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. His Masters thesis, entitled “Assessment of affordable housing options using collaborative geospatial software” explored the use of spatial technology in addressing the need for affordable housing in a resort community in southwestern Ontario. Mr. Noble also has an Honours B.Sc. in Natural Resource Management from the University of Western Ontario. He is a provisional member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI).
